World War I Centenary resources

Secondary school pupil studying a war memorial © SLemieux, 2012August 2014 marked the start of the centenary of World War I and across the UK many young people are getting involved in the commemoration of the conflict. The teaching materials in this section are designed to help secondary schools approach some of the key anniversaries and issues associated with World War I with their pupils.

These resources may also be helpful for teachers teaching the Key Stage 3 History curriculum.

Please note this section will continue to be updated with new materials as the centenary continues.
