These lesson plans and the helpsheet can be used with the accompanying case studies of Sussex war memorials, which can be accessed using the menu on the left. The lesson plans cover various war memorial issues using Sussex war memorials as examples while the helpsheet focuses on a historical event which had a significant impact on Sussex during World War I. The resources can therefore be a useful way of addressing local history, engaging young people with local heritage and of studying aspects of wider conflicts.
